Re: “Crossfit Integrity

Wondering about the above review. I've been a member of Integrity since 2011. The warm up is anywhere from 15 to 20 min, and is based on the WOD. Brian, the owner, is present during the classes that are being coached (which I think is awesome). If he finds that you are using poor form or doing a movement incorrectly, he will point this out, and have you drop down in weight or offer suggestions for improvement. This keeps you from getting injured, and also helps you to avoid those horrific "no reps" during competitions. If your "habits from your old box" include poor form or movements, Brian is doing you a favor by offering suggestions for improvement, and your inability to accept constructive criticism is nothing short of immature. I'm not competitive, just there to stay healthy, but I really appreciate the attention to form, movement, and the positive and friendly attitude and acceptance of everyone and spirit of community at this gym. I started at the age of 39, am now 45, and have yet to have an injury due to anything I have done at CrossFit Integrity, and I've pushed myself pretty hard. I think that speaks well to some excellent coaching. The coaches encourage you to do your best and keep going. I'm really thankful for the level of health and fitness I have achieved at CFI. I'd encourage anyone to give it a try at the community classes on Saturday mornings at 9:30 am, and see if it's a good fit for you.
