Re: “Tattooed Moose, JI

This one of the better joints in town. They have a handful of very well prepared and creative gourmet sandwiches. Duck fat fries are pretty hit and miss, unfortunately, but I don't mind rolling the dice on them. Good beer selection as well.

Re: “Your problem isn't with Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson, it's with the Bible

Chris, most scholars without an agenda and worth their salt will tell you the Bible doesn't condemn homosexuality, especially in the verse you quoted. The problem isn't with the Bible, it's with people who fail to apply the appropriate interpretive lenses to it. Primarily the one where Jesus says you should interpret Scripture in manner that is compassionate to people and doesn't cause suffering (Matthew 9:10-13, Matthew 12:1-8). For a good, quick read on this, check out To Melt a Golden Calf…

This guy is the real deal. Incredibly humble and the kind of follower of Jesus that actually makes you want to follow Jesus too (rather than run the other way).

Re: “Why Mt. Pleasant is called Mt. Pleasant (Hint: Get ready to blush)

How about because there's actually relatively high elevations in Mt. Pleasant compared to the rest of the Charleston area?
