Re: “CofC student exhibit debates alternatives to Calhoun monument for Marion Square

The statue is not there because Calhoun was a just a slave supporter. If they want to put history in context I am OK with it. Erect a statue of Denmark Vessey. Don't preach at me.

Re: “Charlestonians should be asking why we're still at war in so many countries

Re: “Two black-owned businesses open kiosks at the Charleston airport, Cuban restaurant next

I thought the same thing when I saw the photo but only because of the headline. The question is why is a bakery defined by who owns it? What is the implication? My mom's white and I know she can't dance but she can bake.

These comments are more interesting than the article.

"...belches out stilted megaphone micro-missives for the sole purpose of perturbing perpetually on-edge marks." Yep. Pretty much.

Re: “More than 2,000 call for stronger gun laws at March for Our Lives in Riverfront Park

If all of this was about sensible gun laws there wouldn't be so much controversy. But it is not. It is about control. Plain and simple. I think Bucko is right. Like it or not.
