Re: “Steve Spurrier must be fired

After reading this article and all of the comments it is clear that there are very stong opinions in play here. Make no mistake about it -- mine is as stong or stronger than most written here!

First, to address the rant of Chris Haire and get upset and start name calling makes me no better than him and I can assure you that I am better. I got the link from a friend who called it, -- "This article has the emotion of a 13 year old girl who's BFF just got told to shut up by her ex boyfriends new girlfriends sisters cousin Mary Grace McStankypants ".. I say spot on!

The audacity of someone questioning a reporter?? That's just crazy. They can say and do anything they want to and get away with it with no reprocussions. Well Chris, that is just not the case and as far as not talking to the press for 2 days -- well that is up to him. If he does not want to talk to them ever again there is nothing that says he has to. Just because you are a "journalist" (and I use that term very loosely when refering to you and considering the true rag you write for) does not mean by any stretch that you can speak to anyone you want to anytime.

All of that being said you have insulted the head coach of my University football team and jumped to the defense of a of a "Reporter" (again loose use of that title) who consistantly attacks that coach and other coaches from my university for coaching issues but also brings their character, commitment, decisions and judgement into question. Slanderous jabs and conjecture are the order of the day with that guy. On top of all of that you directly insult my university itself, my football program, and our history.

Well it seems that you much like Mr. Morris you think that you can say and do anything you want without anyone questioning you or there bring any reprocussions to bare. I assure you that this is not the case.

I can only assume that The City Paper supports your rant, insults and opinion by their printing of your article. I can further assume that those companies that advertise in you "Paper" also support you all opinions as the finance you through their advertising dollars. This leaves me with little choice but to choose not to go to any of those places to spend my hard earned dollars. It may only be a few bucks but if I hold back and a couple of friends I tell do the same and they tell a couple of their friends each who knows how many dollars that ends up being. I winder how many of the people that advertise with you have USC connections and loyalty? Maybe they should stop advertising for a year or two. I wonder what the rates at the P&C and Skirt are?

Everyone that does support USC and its facilty and coaches please pass this article on to all of your friends and let them know what Mr. Haire thinks of our University. Also let them know that the city paper printed it. STOP PATRONIZING THOSE PLACES THAT ADVERTISE IN THE CITY PAPER! Talk to your friends that are business owners and advertise in The City Paper and urge them to stop advertising! Spread the word!!!! Be proud and prove it!

I'll be posting a list of City Paper advertisers tomorrow on this site and comment string so you all won't have to pick one up and increase circulation! Call the businesses on the list speakto the managers and politely let them know you are displeased with the City Paper for printing the article and in turn them for advertising withthe cuty paper. Ask them tostop. Tell them that you will not be patronizing their business until they do.

Call the advertisers and let them know where you stand!!!
