Re: “S.C. 5th District: A race between a man who jokes about sexual assault and a man who has admitted to domestic abuse

But here I am with earnest discussion! I answered your personal attacks with a defense of why I wrote what I wrote only to be met with more ad hominem.

I guess you got me if you were just poking me from the get-go, but it doesn't make sense to do that and then feign good intentions if I don't respond how you want.

So then sometimes (by your standard) there are definitely times when they aren't coincidences.

And it's in the second sentence. Sorry to bust your bubble.

Re: “The curtains in Nikki Haley’s taxpayer-funded NYC penthouse cost more than most S.C. families make in a year

Crossposting from another story where this came up- The majority of this story is critical of the system that allowed all of this to happen. It's a system that predates Haley, Obama, Trump, all of them. Heck, the NYT story has a quote from a Kennedy lamenting that she only had ONE part-time maid! It's really something. And just so we're clear: The NYT did not retract the story. It's relevant to South Carolina because she's the former governor and is now the occupant of that office, so that's why this particular post focuses on her.

And I've never been called childish by an adult who uses the word butthurt, but thanks, Edward.

Re: “S.C. 5th District: A race between a man who jokes about sexual assault and a man who has admitted to domestic abuse

Ima, Cid- First, I'm not trying to equate the two. Norman cracked a(nother) stupid joke about a woman and Parnell confessed to domestic abuse.

I just think it's a terrible coincidence that the two rich and powerful guys Democrats and Republicans have chosen to nominate find themselves on the same ballot and in this situation, creating a crappy choice for S.C. voters. (Or maybe it's not all that surprising...)

And on the Haley story, Ima- Since you read my post (thanks!), you'll remember that the majority of it was critical of the system that allowed all that to happen. It's a system that predates Haley, Obama, Trump, all of them. Heck, the NYT story had a quote from a Kennedy lamenting that she only had ONE part-time maid! It was really something. (I'll x-post this on that story too.)

Lump me in with the Democrats all you want, but both of these stories are critical of politicians from both parties and the system.

Re: “Charleston police commit to improving relations with LGBTQ community after trans woman's assault

Street Law - The police said and we reported (linked 2x in this story) that the suspect confronted her about her gender identity.
