Re: “Black Like Me puts African-American artists in the spotlight

This show is an example of how ready our community is for relevance combined with artistry. The Charleston area IS growing up and simply spreading the word of these efforts, supporting them with our presence and creating an urgency for acceptance of youthful interpretations will make the needed difference in all our lives.

Re: “The McConnell Question

Thank you, Atty. Green for reminding readers of the real issues at stake. Different opinions abound, but questioning the lack of integrity in the process is always appropriate.

Re: “White supremacy and mental illness take the stage in Red

This level of on-stage sophistication is much needed and is sure to be appreciated by locals seriously willing to confront these kinds of issues. To grow as a community, dispelling of myth and assumption is critical...Charleston is certainly in need of a push toward the new reality in which we all find ourselves, and the arts propel us as always. Anxiously awaiting the production of Red.

Re: “Mr. Potts & Me: The Power of Storytelling seeks to keep storytelling alive

I am continually being reminded of Damon Fordham's reach and range...bravo for yet another solid effort, which I look forward to reading. Hope it will be available on shelves around town asap, as I was unable to find it this past week.
