Re: “Slager speaks in court, still no ruling on release

"Slager, who is charged with killing Scott during a routine traffic stop" after Scott ran from the scene, struggled with the cop and actually tasered the police officer. Scott had several warrants out for his arrest due to the non payment of child support. The vehicle was not properly registered and was on a public road illegally. But none of this applies, it only matters what races were involved in the incident, right?

Hatred in Slager's heart? Well how many of us would be loving towards someone who just tased us? Anyone? A Taser REALLY hurts.

Why can't this paper actually give us ALL the facts and not just the ones that fit their agenda. Have we completely forgotten "innocent until proven guilty"?

Re: “DHEC may close two of state's three abortion clinics

De-bunked? That's news to me. Exactly how were the tapes de-bunked? I haven't even heard PP denying that they are trafficking in human parts. Just that the Center for Medical Progress are a bunch of meanies and actually lied about who they are so they could document the extermination of humans and selling body parts for profit. Too bad that executive is not going to get her Lamborghini in the near future.

Re: “Tiny House Project seeks to build shelters for the homeless

We need to provide medical care, and mental health care, figure out what will it take to make them productive members of society and then allow them the dignity of a job and the empowerment of providing their own housing. Warehousing (even really cute warehousing) will not SOLVE the problem, only band-aid it. As Ben Franklin once said, "I am for doing good to the poor, but...I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. I observed...that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.” People haven't changed that much since his day.

Re: “S.C. lawmaker proposes firing squad as death penalty option

I've watched my veterinarian euthanize three of my aged or sick horses which have weighed a minimum of 1000 pounds. They get dopey on their feet, he pulls them forward so they fall gently to the ground and about 10 seconds later, they are gone. Why is this so difficult?? Let's just send all our murderers on death row to Oregon or the Netherlands. The doctors there are just ITCHING to put people down. No muss, no fuss. We'll call it what they do in Holland: Nonvoluntary Euthanasia. Funny, Europe and Oregon have no trouble getting lethal drugs.

Wish you people would just go home and let us clean up our own mess.
