Susan, you certainly put a lot of info into your columns! Nice work. With regard to the Doobie Brothers... Tom Johnston and Pat Simmons, founders of the band, along with loooooooonnnnnnnnngggg time members Mike Hossack and John McFee take this great band into its 40th year. They remain true to their roots. Michael McDonald joined the band in 1975 when Tom had to leave and the sound changed... not in a bad way, but certainly less edgy, less guitar-driven rock, blues etc. NOT MY idea of the Doobie Brothers. They have a new album out, and it is a great one. Go see them live if you can. Sorry, no "What a Fool Believes". Instead, they will rock you silly.
