Re: “The latest plan to outlaw gay-marriage is asinine

Grooms just wants to steal some of the "limelight" from his pal Senator Lee Bright (R) who has been getting the most "press" for his recent bills to turn State employees into criminals if they serve up any state benefits to those homosexual tax paying citizens who just happen to live in SC; God knows how!

Re: “Children from same-sex couples are doing better than OK

For some people "facts" do not outweigh "bigotry". Bigots only hurt themselves. Congratulations to those "families" who are helping so many children have a home.

Re: “How one homophobic House member responded to a CofC student

In the photograph for the post(s) by "Ned Hill" two people are shown. Is one "Ned" and the other "Hill" or are they co-joined and both are "Ned Hill"? If not, does the other "Hill" or person object to their photograph being used to post such ignorant statements? Condi Rice was persona non grata due to her support of the lies told to America to take America to war in Iraq not because she is deemed to be a "conservative". State Representatives Garry Smith and Stephen Goldfinch are both of the opinion that they are elected "aristocracy" and that they know better than others trained in the field of higher education how to educate at a "college" level than those who have doctorates and have experience in this endeavor. In fact, both Smith and Goldfinch are nothing more than sniveling faux religious bureaucrats who are helping make South Carolina last and worse in every measure of competency. Smith and Goldfinch are parties to the fact that South Carolina does not fund even in accordance with state law sufficient funds to "minimally" educate the children of this state. It would seem from Smith and Goldfinch's position that they believe all of this states higher education materials must be first approved by the SC Legislature which we all know does such a great job. One only need look at the fact that recently South Carolina was awarded the new distinction of being the "dirtiest" state in the Union because of all of the trash thrown on our highways and streets. Perhaps Smith and Goldfinch believe that the trash serves the purpose of filling in all of the pot holes on our highways and helps bolster our failing bridges. Rather than taking the "high road" to excellence Smith, Goldfinch and others of similar intellect continue to help make South Carolina look foolish.

Re: “Legislators shouldn't meddle in the affairs of CofC-MUSC

Could one suppose that Rep. Garry Smith has really never read the "Bible"; as it certainly contains more incest, murder, mayhem, adultery, and sex maxima than the books he found offense with. Or did his political grandstanding and the notoriety he gained from taking this action have more to do with it? You be the judge.

Re: “Stegelin: Lindsey Graham's "L-word"

It isn't the "L" word it's the "B" word. Benghazi! over and over and over. Graham's bill is a total affront to the women of SC. Just plain nuts = Lindsey!
