Re: “Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary

Looking to be of service? Love animals? Flexible time? Give it a try. See if you like it. Guarentee, the love you receive is going to be greater than you can imagine. Beautiful setting in the country. Come volunteer at Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary. Must be 18 or older. Up to 200 dogs and cats who would love some attention! Spend a few hours throwing a ball, taking a dog for a walk, handing out treats, snuggling with some kittens, playing with puppies. On New Road in Hollywood. Open most days from 8 or 9 to 2pm. Can be wise to call before you go. Check out who is available for adoption at No first visit adoptions. Everyone is checked out.

Re: “Starting Monday you'll need to feed Charleston parking meters until 10 p.m.

What the hell do they do with this money anyway. Doesn't seem like Charleston does anything for locals period. If they do, it is seriously underwhelming and only a side effect of bringing and pampering tourists. Where is infrastructure? Flooding abatement? Traffic relief. Public transportation. Sidewalks outside of center city for crying outloud. Bike paths. Bike lanes. Affordable housing. Sigh. Our elected officials don't care about us anymore. Nothing changes. Now, I definately won't go downtown in my own city to stuff my social security check into a meter to go shopping for a couple hours.
