It is interesting, looking at the issue of conspiracy theorists.

Most such theorists are what psychologists see as 'synthesists', that is, people who gather disparate information and congeal it into whole cloth, from elements others see as having no connection. It is a legitimate brain function some people are capable of.
It is not, however, to the advantage of a cabal involved in a plot to have it revealed by a synthesist, either before or after the fact. If more folks listened to those 9/11 conspiracy theorists, where might the Bush administration be today? In the federal pen perhaps?
