Re: “Liberty Tap Room & Grill

Place has probably 50 beers that nobody drinks and is always out of the ones people everybody drinks...service during Happy Hour is poor whether busy or not, same as about everywhere in Mount Pleasant. If I wanted to be out of beer and not get served or even offered a menu upon arrival, I could just go home.

Re: “Purlieu is the French-inspired restaurant we've been waiting for

Have to chuckle at this place and anyone who falls for "the unpretentious yet upscale vibe". Ordered the 12 oz. NY Strip, $31.50 on the menu that was maybe 6 oz. on the plate, served ice cold, and $32.50 on the bill. The only positives were pleasant service and a nearby available parking space. Will pretend to dine someplace else next time...

Re: “Is it already too late for Charleston?

Charleston - Born: 1670 at Charlestowne Landing - Died: 1986 at The Omni Hotel

Now buried under nearly half a century of mismanagement by criminal politicians and greedy developers. Infested with an abundance of lousy, over-rated restaurants and ugly, over-priced hotels. Come here if you must, but come only to mourn...

Re: “Mark Sanford is passing out $1 trillion bills with his face on them

The one thing everybody in America can agree on: "Do nothing Sanford" is really good at doing nothing.

Re: “Butcher & the Boar, a Minn.-based 'rock and roll' steakhouse, opening this week in Mt. Pleasant

SuPeR SaTuRn really cannot stop laughing at this place...will probably cost a whole lot more than 340,000 pennies remodeling the space to make way for the next restaurant magnate's pipe dream in six months to year at the most...and just because it is in Mount Pleasant where money is the only thing more wasted than the people spending it.

Re: “For a few weeks a year, fireworks are a booming business in Charleston

So these are just two of the many buffoons selling fireworks in SC that turn several Holidays each year into pure misery for the many just so the illiterate few can get a kick out of watching their money (or more likely their welfare booty) go up in smoke with a bang. This population of dimwit public nuisances willing to sacrifice a portion of what they would normally spend on lottery tickets in the name of Patriotism are joined by an equally ignorant horde of carpet baggers from up North that apparently have not experienced the thrill of anything going off louder than a taxi backfire since the Civil War. Fireworks today have evolved into near military grade explosives and have no place in the hands of fools in our neighborhoods trying to compete with professional displays.
