Re: “Local woman raising money after runaway dog stabbed

Anyone who has been bitten by a PB whilst jogging (me) would completely understand. The lady who owned the PB said "he is just playing" before he got my leg. Also, if you were walking your PB and a mountain lion or chupacabra jumped on it what would you do? Take a picture for ICanHazRippedOutThroat?

Re: “Jimbo’s Rock Lounge closes down

I invented the term ya'llternative and I claim all rights.

A lack of radio (esp college) has also always killed Charleston. No, 96wave wasn't any good, in fact it did more to hinder punk/metal/alternative than anything.

Re: “Update: Slain Academic Magnet student 'too intoxicated to drive home'

Where is the "Murdered Magnet student charged with simple possession of marijuana on June 4" article? Did you all pull it?

Re: “Jimbo’s Rock Lounge closes down

Ballard - Your paper does very few features (that would be articles with pictures and such) on any punk or metal or really alternative. Your bread and butter is Americana, Singer-Songwriters, Beard Rock and the such. You folks like what you like and it shows. I challenge you all to do a survey on the landscape of local punk, metal and alternative.
On that note, props to Phillip. He had a festival in N. Chas two weeks ago that had one night with six metal, rock and one punk band. It did get a "pick" in the paper so that is something to grow on.
