New Music Collective

The New Music Collective presents another concert as part of its new chamber music series on Fri. Dec. 4 at the Circular Congregational Church. “This is the big one for us,” says co-director and musician Ron Wiltrout. “We’ve been writing and rehearsing for this concert all year, and all the details are starting to fall into place.” The concert-length collection, titled New Music New Charleston III, includes three main pieces. The NMC Chamber Ensemble will perform a composition by versatile musician Nick Jenkins titled Noble Homes, and a piece by N.J.-based composer Sean Friar titled Finding Time. Electronic noise artist and New Music Collective co-founder Philip White presents a piece titled Piano Music. The roster of musicians features Wiltrout, Sam Sfirri, Bill Carson, James Cannon, Robert Lewis, Tom Bresnick, Tom Noren, and Nathan Koci. Music starts at 8 p.m. —T. Ballard Lesemann
