Re: “Magnolias

Disappointing meal. Trout was bland with little flavor and sides were ordinary. Have eaten here many times over frequent visits to Charleston but probably will not be back.

Re: “Inversions Pole Fitness

So thankful for the wonderful women at Inversions Pole Fitness and how each and every one of them has shown me what its like to be happy inside and out!

I started taking beginner classes about 2.5 years ago as a shy, uncoordinated, unfit and overweight woman. After my first class, i was hooked! I was nervous because there seems to be judgemental people everywhere you look. But i will say that you are welcomed with open arms and i felt comfortable as soon as i walked in the door. These women became my friends, team mates and motivators. We are all one big support group for each other and i need that!

Ive never had so much fun working out. I cant imagine doing any other workout and i wont. Inversions offers many different classes. Some that focus on flexibility, others that focus on abs and booty and many more.

Lisa Havens even has awesome nutrition plans specialized to your body type.

Upon beginning my fitness journey with Inversions Pole Fitness, everything about how i live my life has changed for the better. This is the happiest i have been years. Ive learned alot about nutrition and lisa even helps you out by bringing farm fresh grass fed eggs from her chickens at home to the studio!

I highly highly recommend Inversions Pole Fitness to anyone wanting to have a fun workout, build self confidence, have long lean muscles and just to feel sexy. Do it for yourself, you wont regret it!

Re: “Angel Oak Restaurant

Delicious chicken & biscuts. Best fried pickles I've found in Chs...a little out of the way, worth the trip.

Re: “Riso Noodle House

Love the noodle house. Great people, service, prices and food. They have a very nice variety of asian dishes and lots of great fresh flavors. I love going there.

I'm giving it five stars just for their portobello mushroom burger. I crave that thing most every day now.

Re: “TBonz Gill & Grill

Management has it together. Greats you at the door, checks on you, listens. Really a great experience here. I was so surprised to see the level of attention the management and servers have here. Food was very good and good prices. Highly recommend.

Re: “Angel Oak Restaurant

Had dinner there a couple of times and they just don't seem to get it. They seem unable to make food hot or season properly. Steaks taste bland needing salt and pepper. It's like they are cooking on a hot plate and don't have a real restaurant setup. French fries are limp and cold from being cooked at too low a temperature and other dishes come out lukewarm at best. Is it so hard to make food HOT !!! It's like they can only cook one meal at a time so with 4 people each dish sits till the last is done. Very disappointing. Seriously, taste the dishes and learn to season and make each dish sizzling hot when it is delivered. Think mexican fajitas !!!

Re: “H&L Asian Market

On a trip to Charleston with my Mom I googled Asian stores and H & L Supermarket came up with good reviews, so we made it one of our stops. We spent almost a $100 in groceries, including a can of coconut juice which I took a sip of before heading out. Well, the coconut juice tasted rancid and spoiled, even the coconut pulp was yellowish - a bad batch of coconuts or something. In any case I went back in to exchange it for a different can. I very cordially and respectfully ( I never get rude or snide, not my style) explained the situation to the manager lady but she obstinately refused to exchange the coconut juice, insinuating that I was lying and then told me to complain to the company that made it. Even after repeatedly letting her know that I truly wanted to be able to write her store a good review and spread good word of mouth to people I meet (hint, hint) she remained stubborn then rudely walked out on me. For their utterly abhorrent customer service, my Mother and I will never ever patronize this business again.

Re: “Charleston Beer Works

The new location is great. Having an outdoor patio to go to out to is great for our running group that meets up there. All the other reviews are out dated and should be removed since they are about it's previous location.

Re: “Roses and Ruins

Had a piece done at the Summerville location in 2013 by Emily Elegado (Tattoos by M) for which I still receive compliments. The entire staff there was professional and extremely talented. Two of the artists donated three hour sessions for a local charity raffle. Scheduled a time to go see the first draft and it was perfect and skin-ready. The going rate at the time was $100 an hour, and I was so impressed after her completing the line work that I tipped $100. I still get questioned on where I got the work done and recommend the artist and shop to anyone.
