Re: “Sullivan's Island woman who interrupted Bannon speech cited for disorderly conduct

It was a private event, that when you paid for the ticket you agreed to the terms and services and rules for attending the event, you break the rules you get kicked out. If you wanted to demonstrate you right to free speech there was an area outside you could have done that in. You don't go to a concert walk up on stage and start yelling at the performers do you? because if you did that you would be taken away by security same with what happened here. She also was illegally parked but none of the other new organizations bothered to report that fact. Shes luck disorderly conduct was the only thing they are slapping her with.

I think they should have put the plaque back in its original spot. Not noticeable now and attached flush to a clothing store

Re: “King Street lunch counter sit-in plaque replaced after two years

There is something terribly wrong or perhaps just ironically tragic that this brave event is memorialized by a plaque attached to the wall of a company that for years has been vilified for its' human rights violations, including using child labor, thousands of workers killed in their shoddy factories...and chiefly their inclusion (along w/Walmart, Nike, Starbucks & Nestle) of the top companies in the world who use slave labor.

Re: “Did you spot all the Charleston sights on 'Vice Principals' Ep. 1?

My mother always said, if you dont have anything nice to say, then YALL shouldnt say anything at all!

I hope yall all have a great evening! That means everyone; Debbie, Mat, The Ole Man, and of course our very own North Charleston SPARTAN!

Imagine all great things people could
accomplish, if we never worried about who got
the credit?
-UNKNOWN-

P.S. I never respond to any post / threads at all,
obviously besides this one. I would venture to
say that, more than 80% of the people that are
posting negative comments, etc... Male or female and of all ages. These are simple just
unhappy individuals with their self and screaming for attention! This is only my opinion, so please dont take it to heart! But I can tell you that I have
never created a Facebook Or twitter etc... I believe we can be used for a great team but Ive so many negative postings, FB can be used for a great things! We all have a right to our opinions, but Ive seen nothing but negative posting, comments, threads. Life is too short to be so hateful.

Re: “The Agenda: Templeton not disavowing Roy Moore; GOP primary to replace Merrill

Another reason to vote for McMaster in the primary. Templeton is just too far out. If she wins the primary, we will have an extremist for a governor. I see no way that a Democrat can win the race for governor in this state. Most whites in this state are ultraconservative.

Re: “Everyone you ever loved or cared about is now in real estate

I always tease that when you move to Charleston and change your drivers license instead of asking if you want to be an organ donor they ask if you want to include a real estate license. My friend Karen used to act like she was a Realtor when we went out just to fit in at parties (don't tell anyone but she actually sells ads in industrial publications).

Re: “The Agenda: Templeton not disavowing Roy Moore; GOP primary to replace Merrill

Yeah, we have enough to deal with than to get involved with pederastic Senatorial prospects. As long as we can get the republican agenda of "make the white and wealthy, wealthier" thru, then little girls are just "collateral" damage? With no due respect, Ms. Templeton, you are part of the problem, not the solution. Do we need a woman who knows her place in a man's world to be governor? No we need a governor that is going to stand up for the poor and middle-class, not the rich and elite. As long as you hold on to the Greedy Old Party (greedy on money, greedy on power, greedy on rights) you are just another self-entitled prig.

Re: “Lidl grocery store to open in Goose Creek Thurs. Nov. 30

Extremely poor planning, expect egress from the new Goose Creek Lidl's parking lot to not only be slow but dangerous. A single exit lane, those attempting to turn left onto busy St. James Ave. are not warned that there is not a safe center lane in which they can sit until they can safely merge with northbound traffic, as is available along most of St. James. Instead, their fight or flight instincts will kick-in as they find themselves sitting in a southbound turn lane for Huntsman Drive. This will cause many to attempt to merge into the northbound lane quicker and less safely than they otherwise would. The question is, how many Lidl customer lives will be permanently damaged before the store addresses unsafe egress conditions that existed prior to the store opening?

Beautiful irony! Citadel to host panel discussion on the causes of "intolerance and hateful speech"
The original purpose at the time of the founding of the Citadel was to train a militia to put down future slave insurrections.
