Re: “Colur Studios

Visit Colur NOW--it's a comprehensive collection of products and services that enhance every woman's natural beauty in a gorgeous studio. I had a wonderful experience here--why the snarky comments when the place was not even open, let alone still under construction?

Re: “The slow death of the North Charleston Police Department’s federal review

Dale, of course a higher percentage of blacks than whites are committing crime in North Charleston, that is because a higher percentage of blacks is poor. So likewise for example a higher percentage of American Indians are committing crime in America, because many are poor. Of course few of those live in North Charleston. So they complain against the police mainly in states like Arizona, New Mexico, South Dakota. Races won't be equal in income until they are equal in education. So we should spend more money on educating blacks, Hispanics, American Indians, Eskimos, Hawaiians, than we spend on educating whites and Asians, until they catch up with us.

So the ultrawierd, vulgar, classless creeps have taken over this movie theater. I have no intentions of trying to go and enjoy what I used to think was a great classic. Too bad.

Re: “Charleston chefs explain what makes deviled eggs the perfect bar food

Making deviled eggs and egg salad is a very time consuming process. And time equals money in the food industry, so I would imagine that many venues won't be offering them because they cost so much in labor to make. Too bad, as they are delicious! I'm going to go over to the Glass Onion and see what their take is on this perfect food.

Re: “UPDATE: South Carolina, once again, has no female head brewers

Not sure what bars you are going to, but I doubt that there is 36% of women who are usually drinking beer. And the industry, especially in our area, which opened small craft breweries, is loaded down with men. There is no conspiracy to keep women out of being in charge. The fact is that there are fewer women opening up their own breweries, or becoming apprentices in the difficult and time consuming art of making beer. Please don't try and make "news" out of nothing.

Re: “The slow death of the North Charleston Police Department’s federal review

Look at the high percentage of the group who is doing the killings, robberies, and other crimes within the city. And then see the percentage of complaints against the police. Any correlation?

Re: “The slow death of the North Charleston Police Department’s federal review

To the previous commenter: There is plenty of a crackdown on crime in North Charleston. But when a police officer misbehaves, he or she ought to be punished. After all, when some people, like many in the minority communities, feel they can't trust the police to do a good job, then they are less likely to report crimes to the police and fewer crimes get solved. And you want to use the National Guard? Is that even legal to use National Guard soldiers for law enforcement? What about the posse comitatus laws?

Re: “The slow death of the North Charleston Police Department’s federal review

This is political reteric. What is needed is a crackdown of the ever increading crime in North Charleston, tougher sentenses, and a constant presence on the streets of Law Enforcement. This can only be acvomplishrd by the State's National Guard to patrol the streets 24/7, until the danger to private citizens is reduced.

Re: “Sorghum & Salt celebrates Goatober with a new goat ragu

I looked at the on-line menu, and did not find the goat meat. I wish they would update their web page and include it, so one can see how expensive this goat dish will cost. I hope the goat farmers make the meat reasonable priced so they can market it in more areas. I love it, have eaten it overseas, and would like to try it if it is affordable.

Re: “Sorghum & Salt celebrates Goatober with a new goat ragu

I'd like to try out goat at a local restaurant if it is priced reasonably. If the goat farmers want to peddle their meats, then they have to market it at a price that is competitive with other proteins. We have some nice restaurants in Charleston, but they are unaffordable for most locals, so the tourists go there, and no one has a chance to tell their friends to try it out. Locals don't often read Trip Advisor, or even Yelp, before going out. Can anyone buy goat at a local market?
