What a sick person! Needs to be locked up for a long time in mental institution. I love this store and will continue to shop there.

Well, whether you're right or wrong Martin, this is the government that the majority of South Carolina voters have chosen and continue to support.

Re: “Rep. Jeff Duncan's "Hearing Protection Act" is tone-deaf

Edgar, your statement of 'No crime has ever been committed with one' is incorrect. About 40 crimes with a suppressor are committed per year, however, most are home built.

Re: “New details emerge in case of alleged fecal bandit at Harris Teeter

Find out how much he claims HT owes him. Confirm the validity of the claim. If it's true, then subtract that amount from the cost of replacing all of the affected produce and cleaning the fouled areas. Then fine him that amount.

If his claim is NOT valid, then fine him the full amount for cleanup and produce replacement.

Re: “Eating local isn't always better

I moved to Charleston five years ago. It was new years day. Everything was closed except TGIFridays. For my $18, with every other restaurant closed, I have never tasted better parmesan chicken. Havent been back since.

Re: “Homeless and hungry at America's most beautiful College

Predictable contributors saying "get a job you lazy kid" without reading the article where they talk about them having jobs. But it was so easy back in the day. Just ten years ago, rent was 40% less than it is now, while income has only gone up 13% to compensate. Since I graduate college, tuition has gone up by about 300%! What is wrong with these freeloading kids these days? Harumph indeed. Why don't they have the wherewithal to personally drive market forces themselves?

Re: “Former Dixie Furniture building approved for demolition

More than likely, just like with the other hotel and approved condo buildings... parking decks are required. And although this is more than likely true, I am defiantly not overly ecstatic about another hotel.

Hey Kate! I know I know, hastily edited. But, if you know the precise album I'm quoting from, then I will grovel.

Re: “Book of Mormon announces lottery tickets for next week's run at NCHS PAC

I have seen The Book of Mormon. While it is a vulgar (and hilarious) satire, the ultimate theme is pretty uplifting and espouses much hope for humanity.

Emily, the same freedom of religion that you enjoy also applies to other people, including the creators of this production. Faith is not a zero-sum game. If you feel your faith is diminished because of the beliefs of other people, the problem does not lie with them.

Re: “Book of Mormon announces lottery tickets for next week's run at NCHS PAC

Emily, I have not seen the play, so I don't know if it is really filled with lies and nonsense, I can't confirm your impression. I used to attend Mormon worship for a time, and I can confirm that none of the Mormons hurt me, even though I did not find faith there, I still don't belong to any religion. So of course I know there are many good people among the Mormons, though of course nobody is perfect. I have read the Book of Mormon, and while I did not find it persuasive, there is certainly some good stuff in there. And I did not see any terrible stuff there, like I saw some in the Bible, like sexism, homophobia, approval of slavery, approval of genocides. Though I did not like in the Book of Mormon the teaching about the necessity of faith for salvation. I do like though that your church teaches many will be converted after death. Most Christians don't believe that. Anyway, I did not find this teaching in the Book of Mormon though. I did find it in Doctrine and Covenants, so it seems to be a later teaching.
