Re: “The slow death of the North Charleston Police Department’s federal review

Dale, of course a higher percentage of blacks than whites are committing crime in North Charleston, that is because a higher percentage of blacks is poor. So likewise for example a higher percentage of American Indians are committing crime in America, because many are poor. Of course few of those live in North Charleston. So they complain against the police mainly in states like Arizona, New Mexico, South Dakota. Races won't be equal in income until they are equal in education. So we should spend more money on educating blacks, Hispanics, American Indians, Eskimos, Hawaiians, than we spend on educating whites and Asians, until they catch up with us.

Re: “The slow death of the North Charleston Police Department’s federal review

Look at the high percentage of the group who is doing the killings, robberies, and other crimes within the city. And then see the percentage of complaints against the police. Any correlation?

Re: “The slow death of the North Charleston Police Department’s federal review

To the previous commenter: There is plenty of a crackdown on crime in North Charleston. But when a police officer misbehaves, he or she ought to be punished. After all, when some people, like many in the minority communities, feel they can't trust the police to do a good job, then they are less likely to report crimes to the police and fewer crimes get solved. And you want to use the National Guard? Is that even legal to use National Guard soldiers for law enforcement? What about the posse comitatus laws?

Re: “The slow death of the North Charleston Police Department’s federal review

This is political reteric. What is needed is a crackdown of the ever increading crime in North Charleston, tougher sentenses, and a constant presence on the streets of Law Enforcement. This can only be acvomplishrd by the State's National Guard to patrol the streets 24/7, until the danger to private citizens is reduced.

Re: “Stegelin: The Book of Moron

It wasn't Barack Obama.

President Ronald Reagan made that statement as well as creating the campaign slogan, "Make America Great Again". Trump admires Reagan but somehow I don't think the feelings would be mutual today since it tarnishes Reagan's class.

Re: “Stegelin: The Book of Moron

What president said, "I believe in the idea of amnesty for those who have put down roots and who have lived here even though sometime back they may have entered illegally."? No Googling, try your mind instead.

Re: “Homeless and hungry at America's most beautiful College

Interesting article. But why the LGBQT slant? The underlying issue has little to do with that...or the headline should be rewritten.

The first two photos look like glamour shots and poor Bob just gets to stand there.

Well they could go to a tech school, no one says they have to take huge student loan debts to get an education.

Ohh yea lets build nuclear reactors near earthquake fault lines near the ocean. Who knew engineers could be so stupid?

Who thinks this is a good idea again? Was it the local poison factory?

Who needs isis when you get a bunch of business assholes in a room together?

Oh the push for nuclear energy over passive energy like solar must come from the good people at the depleted uranium weapons factory... No better way to fry up IRAQI children like a turkey i guess.

Well, whether you're right or wrong Martin, this is the government that the majority of South Carolina voters have chosen and continue to support.
