Re: “Blotter: Shovel-swingers anonymous

Regarding the convenience store story,

Yep ammonia and bleach are not a great idea to mix. You get Chloramine gas, or potentially hydrazine, both of which will kill you.

Mixing bleach and toilet bowl cleaner (an acid) will get you Chlorine gas, which can also kill you.

Re: “Blotter: Snakes. I don't hate snakes.

$150 in gold coins stolen? Must not have been very big coins considering gold is $1350 an ounce at the moment.

Re: “Blotter: Gotta piss 'em off

The SCANA (NYSE:SCG) /SCE&G INVESTMENT of the TWO NEW NUCLEAR UNITS IN JENKINSVILLE IS NOT FOR A BASE LOAD FACILITY!
Therefore, SC Base Load Review Act CANNOT be a LEGAL GROUND for overcharging SCE&G kWh ratepayers. PERIOD!
There are basic physics formula = Energy = Power x Time and that the Base Load is 100% (24/7 = 365 days annually = 8760 hours per year) time in operation. BLRA 70% apply to rated Power, which can be adjusted to real demands. Those simple rules have being learned in less than ONE hour by my students (in Europe and in SC). The “public servants” who were present in this ORS/PSC billion-dollar decision could not learn these formulas since 2008.
In all annual requests (9th time since 2008) SCANA + ORS + PSC are showing to over three million victims “their arrogant power of monopolistic slavery”. In 21st Century SC kWh ratepayers and SC taxpayers voices are ignored but their money is taken illegally anyway - a billion after a billion dollars! Also some$$ are used for bribing “public servants”. May I, as an American teacher (being placed in top 2% among them by my cum laude students), deliver them a grade “F”? But the question still is “who will fire these servants”, Donald J. Trump? Is it funny?
After a reading, do you have your own idea how to end this scandal where white-collar criminals are stealing your money?
Georgian utilities are building their twin plant in Vogtle using US DOE $8.3 Billion. Is Georgia’s basic education better than in SC?
………….
SC children suffer from heat waves in the homes trying to save on overcharged electricity as a result of SCANA / SCE&G scandal...

1. To SCANA (NYSE:SCG) =“Thou shalt not steal” from SCE&G kWh ratepayers because …
2. “Thou shalt know that SC Base Load Review Act do not apply to the non-base load nuclear plant in Jenkinsville SC”

Re: “Blotter: Manicures in jail

Yes he was responsible, others would simply have done nothing and waited until the next morning to see if one of his neighbors was dead. You never made a mistake in your life?

Re: “Blotter: Crust in the nick of time

Now and again, we see ads on TV and billboard where the police are everywhere looking for people under the influence. Truth is, they wouldn't dare crack down on DUI's, public intoxication, etc. If the laws were strictly enforced, a sober society would result in a large number of LEO's being out of a job. And the impact would be felt in the legal and medical professions as well. So we, as a society, pay lip service where it comes to protecting our citizens, when in truth, the economy would collapse without booze. And our leaders are not really going to let that happen. After all, many of them are members of the Alcohol and Drug Cult (ADC) themselves.

Re: “Blotter: Undamming the dams

Street Law, we tried Prohibition once. It was a disaster. So many cops needed to investigate reports of illegal alcohol. So many shootouts by alcohol dealers. It was worse than the current drug war.

Re: “Blotter: Undamming the dams

Does it ever occur to anyone that if booze were banned, over half the police force wouldn't be needed?

Re: “Blotter: Two-dollar box, y'all

Does South Carolina charge people for 'Theft by Finding'? I know in other states that failure to report a lost item that you found can get you arrested, but had not heard of that here in S.C.
