Re: “Gerald's Tires

I found Geralds after getting a nail in my tire. Excellent customer service, very communicative and quick to do the job. I have since visited twice and have had nothing but kind, professional care on my 2015 Audi Q5. I highly recommend them!

Delicious, fun, great prices, beautiful inside and out, new favorite restaurant in Charleston. Beautiful drive also!

Re: “ALDI

I don't need Whole Foods prices to buy nutritious food. Maybe some people need their grocery shopping to be "an experience," I would rather spend the money I save at Aldi ( usually $50-70 per week) on real experiences. Aldi is straight forward fresh food for a lot less than any store I've been to. I love hearing people complain about having to "pay a quarter" You get the quarter back when you return your cart. Bring your reusable bags and get ready to save!

Re: “Gerald's Tires

I got four new tires in the Geralds Mt Pleasant location and mentioned to the manager after the tires were installed that my low tire pressure light was on. The manager seemed annoyed and told me that BMW tire pressure indicators come on when the tires are changed. I ended pulling out my own tire gauge and took a reading showing him that the air pressure was only half of the recommended pressure. The manager seemed more annoyed than apologetic. I would not trust them especially with a nicer vehicle. These guys are turn and burn, and don't pay attention to details that could end up damaging your tire or vehicle.

Re: “Edmund's Oast

Should have named the joint - "Oldman's Boast" - to describe the ambiance enjoyed whilst one waits on a rude bartender to rancorously serve a horrible tasting over priced liquid in a warm glass.

Re: “Edmund's Oast

By the way, I have had the cheese plate at Edmunds two times, along with the sweater around the neck folks, and it is some of the best tasting cheese in the area. I wonder if it comes from that local farm over on Johns Island? Goat cheese tends to be a bit "tangy", and the offerings at Edmunds really fits the bill.
The beer selection is vast, and the more hops in a beer, the better I like it. Price is not that bad compared to the newer bars in the area. The clientele will eventually smooth out, and hopefully it will be a group that I like to hang with. So far there is parking available in the area, but with the huge expansion of food places up NoMo, I fear it may become a problem. So far the Union Headquarters is pretty good about parking in their place in the evening, so that is a definite safe option.....and for a good price. Free.

Re: “Edmund's Oast

The review by Brewengineer sounds like those reviews that show up for a well-known, but rather overpriced and boring chop house on King St. The wording and the phrases come right out of a "book of reviews" for critics. You can see right through them, and know the writers are often comped for their meals, and therefore write complimentary reviews of those places. I don't care about what the other customers are wearing, usually, but the sweaters around the neck cross the line.

Re: “King Street Cabaret

My first time there at the cabaret and by the way i am a 45 years old Caucasian man who loves my beautiful black sisters but when i went into the club i didnt see any i met some of the dancers there and sat and talk with a few of them and asked if they were any black girls there i was told that they dont hire black girls, bad enough no one greeted me coming into the club it was poor judgement, weird looks and horrible hospitality. I took my money and went to The Silver Slipper where i got treated with respect!!!! It was the worst experience ever. I wouldn't recommend this club to anyone

Re: “Long Island Cafe

DO NOT PAY WITH CASH at this restaurant. I was just shorted by $13.31 (party of three) ... Sam, our waiter, hoped I didnt notice .... but when you give $100 cash you count your change ... mistakes happen, so I brought it politely to his attention .... Sam said hed rectify the mistake .... second time I was shorted $3.31 .... Disgusting!!!! Brought the matter to the attention of the management .... didnt seem to concerned about the fraudulent behaviour of their server .... offered to give me the $3.31 back ... kidding me, right? Totally disgusted. Check your bill, check your change, especially if Sam is your server. DO NOT PAY with CASH at this restaurant .... you will probably get short changed.
Once a mistake .... twice ... what kind of fool do you take me for??????

Re: “Gerald's Tires

We here in Summerville really appreciate the work the folks at Gerald's does. Always nice, they go out of their way to give you great service. Very competitive in pricing, they always repair my tire punctures for free, regardless of whether or not I purchased them there. With my many vehicles, I eventually dress them in Gerald's tires once they wear out, so there are not many that don't have the Gerald's name on them. Keep up the good work and you'll stay my favorite place to have my cars fitted with your tires.
