Re: “Tomasso at Turtle Point Clubhouse

Worst experience i've had in a long time. Staff was pleasant but unavailable for 20 minutes at a time. No offer to refresh drinks just poor service. Food average. Dont have to worry about us visiting for the next 7 days while were in beautiful Kiahwah S.C.

Re: “Blossom & Stems Florist & Greenhouse

The worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. Guess thats what I get for not reading the plethora of other bad reviews on here. I spent $173 and not only was the delivery over a day late (with no call advising) but what was delivered was even worse. The arrangement was missing flowers, the vase and looked like something my twelve year old did with his left hand. I called and was greeted by a, "can I help you?" After verifying the person who answered indeed worked for Blossoms & Stems I explained my situation. The OWNER tells me the recipient of the arrangement would need to return what inventory they had lost on the transaction for me to get a $90 refund. She also refused to see a picture of what was delivered and adamant that the arrangement was filled to order. She also argued that the recipient was over the moon excited to get the flowers thus making my argument invalid. My ANGEL future sister-in-law would never scoff at delivered flowers. She deserved the beautiful $173 arrangement we chose for her even though it wouldn't have touched the time and money she spent on our baby shower. Unprofessional, lazy, unorganized, unapologetic, ignorant, the list goes on and on.

Re: “Burwell's Stone Fire Grill

Disappointed. Didn't even get a chance to eat. The menu online is NOT what is at the restaurant. Online they have many options to choose from, however once there, the menu consists of a few apps and 7 entrees. The waitress told us they hear this a lot and the online menu is false advertising. Would not go back without calling first to see what is/isn't on the menu.

Re: “Locals Bar

The morning after eating the sushi at Local's I had the worst food poisoning imaginable. I spent two days in bed throwing up. I couldn't sleep because the constant pain and nausea. Prescribed medicine did not help.

Re: “Tavern & Table

My husband and I went to Tavern and Table for restaurant week. It was a poor choice. We had a great server. We asked the hostess to seat us in a quiet AREA, but she kept seating tables next to us with loud children. The music over the speakers was loud in the dinning area. The fried deviled eggs were a disappointment. Don't expect true southern deviled egg flavor all you will taste is just plain egg. The dynamite shrimp had nothing to be dynamite about. The tempora battered shrimp was good the supposed sweet chili sauce was not. The sauce tasted like straight mayonnaise with sugar. No spice no pep no dynamite. The crab cakes were disgusting could not ingest them. Good concept to limit the filler in the crab cake. However, it was not executed well. Very mushy almost gummy and pasty in texture w/ NO seasoning tasted like mayonnaise. Almost like eating a can of cat food. Another big let down was the MAC n cheese w/ burnt ends. There was little to no burnt ends to speak of. The MAC n cheese had a cheese sauce like you find in a box of craft easy MAC. No real stringy cheese or flavor. The bone in ribeye was very good. All in all we spent $168.00 for a meal and left unsatisfied. The manager offered to place another food order to replace the disgusting crab cakes after my husband had finished his meal. NO...Why would we sit and wait for another possible disappointment! Why would I ask my husband to sit, wait and watch me eat? So she didn't take it off the bill...she took off $16.00. We will not be returning for another try or recommend this restaurant.

Re: “Black Bean Co.

I am typically not one to complain or write a bad review but I felt this is something that needs to be said and could prevent and issue for customers in the future. My husband and I went here for lunch one day while celebrating our one year wedding anniversary in Charleston. I have a gluten issue (causes severe anxiety and tonic clonic seizures) and their website said they have gluten free options so we thought it was perfect.

We get there and I order a sausage, egg and cheese wrap because the board said it could be made with a gluten free wrap. I ask the server THREE times that she was sure it was gluten free (I even asked the type of wrap so I could confirm, but she didn't know, but promised it was). We get our food, after waiting quite a while, and begin to eat. I should have gone with my gut feeling because I knew something was wrong. The wrap was too chewy to be GF and did not taste right.

After the meal I went back to the register and asked if the lady could get my the packaging for the wraps. She went and got them and as soon as I got them I started to cry. First ingredient- ENRICHED BLEACHED FLOUR. It literally says on the front of the packaging CONTAINS WHEAT. I was livid. The lady (who was extremely sweet) immediately said "I am SO SORRY, we were told they were gluten free, let me go get my manager". She came back rather quickly and said "he wants me to give you a refund", so she did. I then asked if he was going to come out and speak to us because this was NOT okay. She proceeded to tell me "he is too busy", which was absolutely ridiculous. I did not care about the money, I wanted them to know that they could seriously hurt someone if they keep serving "allergy friendly foods" that are not what they are claiming them to be!

Luckily, I did not have a seizure, just a mild headaches and belly issues. It could have been a lot worse. TERRIBLE customer service (the manager, not the servers) for not addressing the issue with us directly.

ASK FOR THE PACKAGING BEFORE YOU ORDER IF YOU HAVE A FOOD ALLERGY OR SENSITIVITY!

Re: “Gerald's Tires

I got four new tires in the Geralds Mt Pleasant location and mentioned to the manager after the tires were installed that my low tire pressure light was on. The manager seemed annoyed and told me that BMW tire pressure indicators come on when the tires are changed. I ended pulling out my own tire gauge and took a reading showing him that the air pressure was only half of the recommended pressure. The manager seemed more annoyed than apologetic. I would not trust them especially with a nicer vehicle. These guys are turn and burn, and don't pay attention to details that could end up damaging your tire or vehicle.

Re: “Edmund's Oast

Should have named the joint - "Oldman's Boast" - to describe the ambiance enjoyed whilst one waits on a rude bartender to rancorously serve a horrible tasting over priced liquid in a warm glass.

Re: “Halls Chophouse

Halls is for dumb tourists only. All of the negative comments on this board are true. The food is average, the prices are high and the four owners are a pain in the butt. Please stay away from this horrible place.

Re: “Gentry Bar & Room

Bring back Sermets, not sure what Gentry is even suppose to be, a whisky bar? restaurant? sports bar? venue for filming Southern Charm? No purpose to this place and the food is mediocre to say the least!

Re: “Hunley's Tavern

If you want to hang on a Saturday night and want good service.. don't go there. Hope the owner gets this.. I've been going there for a long while, this new bartender will not create business..

Re: “Halls Chophouse

12$ liquor drinks you get for $5 dollars everywhere else and average mail order Allen Bros. steaks, yet the tourists flock to this place. All the locals do is laugh. The family has a well deserved reputation as the most freaky, eccentric family in Charleston, which is why the locals stay away.

Re: “Mt. Pleasant Paintball

I had a bachelorette party planned at this facility this past weekend. I had 10+ people coming into Mt. Pleasant for the party. I confirmed the party with them a few weeks ago and then on the morning of, thankfully, I sent another email just following up and received an automated reply that they were permanently closed, the DAY of my party, 2 hours before it was set to start.

They were never going to let me know that they were canceling my group. We would have driven an hour to get there only to be disappointed had I not followed up. My group was very excited about their courses, but thankfully I was able to pull something else together.

Apparently they closed because the owner got arrested for sexual misconduct with a minor. If they ever reopen under the same management, do not support such an establishment. Wait for them to be sold or go somewhere else. I'd give zero stars if able. Completely unprofessional.

Re: “H&L Asian Market

On a trip to Charleston with my Mom I googled Asian stores and H & L Supermarket came up with good reviews, so we made it one of our stops. We spent almost a $100 in groceries, including a can of coconut juice which I took a sip of before heading out. Well, the coconut juice tasted rancid and spoiled, even the coconut pulp was yellowish - a bad batch of coconuts or something. In any case I went back in to exchange it for a different can. I very cordially and respectfully ( I never get rude or snide, not my style) explained the situation to the manager lady but she obstinately refused to exchange the coconut juice, insinuating that I was lying and then told me to complain to the company that made it. Even after repeatedly letting her know that I truly wanted to be able to write her store a good review and spread good word of mouth to people I meet (hint, hint) she remained stubborn then rudely walked out on me. For their utterly abhorrent customer service, my Mother and I will never ever patronize this business again.

Re: “Red's Ice House Seabrook

Our meal was so horrible that I cannot even rate it with 1 star. Meal took 40 minutes to arrive at the table, food was ice cold. Burger arrived 10 minutes later - cooked well done vs med rare as ordered. The lettuce in the grilled tuna salad was rancid and rotting. Manager comped entree portion of the meal - but worse was the attitude - she really did not care. I'm local and posting on every blog I can find.

Re: “Car Pros Plaza

The owner is a total crook. I've posted my experience every where today: I've had to file two BB complaints with Mr. Mulherin's Maaco regarding warranty work done to my vehicle earlier this year. One little mistake turned into six days of wasted PTO, over two hundred dollars worth of rentals on my dime, and my car still hasn't been fixed. This is the third visit and John Mulherin, the owner, just threatened to call the cops on me when I requested a proper loaner car for me and my two year old son. He offered a shop car that smelled like an ashtray, looked unsafe, dirty, worn, the front driver side door didn't even open... and asked that I drive that for three days til my car was ready. This is after he refused to pay $27 a day for a rental that would have been safe and clean to drive for me and my son. I am beyond hurt and aggravated that I cannot be shown proper respect as a paying customer and no one should either. His business practices are abhorrent, I'd take my business elsewhere. Oh yeah, he gave me a rock off his desk that said "Get Over It" and told me I should take the hint. Will do.

Re: “Sip Tap Room

The most amusing sock puppet post was the one that said probably the best beer selection in the city. They might not even have the best selection in their own part of town, let alone the many, MANY other places around Charleston with a better selection (Edmund's Oast, Craft Conundrum, Closed For Business, Gene's, The Barrel, etc).

Re: “Sip Tap Room

So I guess I'm a sucker. I saw the bad reviews and figured it couldn't be THAT bad. And if it was I thought it might be fun to see. It's exactly like the negative reviews say. Sorry. Make changes now, before it's too late!

And c'mon, the 5 star reviews from people who obviously are connected to the place (i.e. have only posted one review or 2 and the other was for the Sip in Mt. P.)? That's so 2007!
