Re: “Boulevard Diner

I love this place! I understand the concept at each of Sal's restaurants. Sacrifice the expensive building for great quality food and they will come back. Great home style food, great prices and great people.

Re: “Bear E Patch Cafe

Wonderful staff who's charm still cannot offset the steep prices commanded by the "who do they think they are" owners. If you have money to waste paying a 40% premium for basic food then you may have found your Xanadu in this establishment.

Re: “Mozzo

The food is very good. The Italian Husky guy in the back needs to smile more or get some meds! I agree with the comment above that the ordering system could use some revamping. The cashiers are efficient and very friendly. Mozzo is a great addition to Mt. Pleasant and I will return soon!

Re: “Hominy Grill

DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!! Over priced, over rated and if you like crappy service with an attitude... this is the place for you.

Re: “Sunflower Café

Fantastic breakfast. I had a poached egg over crab meat and a fried green tomato on an english muffin... I've been craving it ever since.

Re: “Bluerose Café

i have been in the restaurant business 35 years and there is nothing as frustrating as being busy , having people waiting for tables, and having "campers".
However, that's the business. These things happen and if you ask people to leave it is hard to beleive they will come back.
They lost these customers and with this economy i would be hesitant to lose any. If this restaurant is the one i am thinking of, it is large enough that something would have opened up for the people in the foyer.

Re: “Bluerose Café

Being semi-regular customers, my friend and I were having breakfast a few months ago at the Blue Rose cafe. We had been there less than an hour, had finished breakfast and were enjoying our coffee when the cook/manager came from out of the kitchen to tell us that they "don't usually let people stay this long". (There were two people in the foyer that we had not noticed) We were basically asked to leave. It was humiliating. I wrote them a letter and will not return to restaurant that values the bottom line more than the feelings of their customers.

Re: “Park Circle Coffee 'n' More

My wife and I frequent this place for dinner or some ice cream. Richard's staff is very accommodating, friendly, and eager to serve and socialize. The prices are excellent, and the sandwiches are very tasty. They were among the first in Olde North Charleston village to be a free WiFi hot spot. They even have a water dish outside for the doggies!

Re: “Park Circle Coffee 'n' More

I love this little coffee shop! The first time I drove around Park Circle to look for a home, I stopped by this coffee shop and the owner served me and was so welcoming, that I felt that this community was the place for me to live. I moved to PC and two years later, Park Circle Coffee n more (plus the addition of the Doghouse- yummy hot dogs and veggie dogs too!) is the local Park Circle hangout for delicious brunches, excellent lunches, and gourmet dinners. This little eclectic spot is a must try place!

Re: “Three Little Birds

I stopped by for lunch last week. It really is located way back in the plaza. You can't miss it though. It's the nicely decorated building that sits alone in the back of the parking lot. The specials board listed freshly squeezed juices that you could have individually or blended any way you like. I grabbed a seat by the counter and looked over the menu. Most of the menu is dedicated to breakfast items. I went for the veggie burger topped with cheddar, with a side of sweet potato home fries. The veggie burger was a bit bland and needed some kind of sauce to make it stand out more. The sweet potatoes were very tasty. I noticed that they had a bread pudding on the specials board and I love some good bread pudding. Three little birds' bread pudding was amazing. The pear-raisin-almond bread pudding was covered with fresh blueberries, sliced strawberries, and fresh whipped cream. It was worth more than the modest three bucks they charge for it.
I'll be back to try some of their breakfast items.

Re: “Blend

My girlfriend and I just ate lunch at Blend and were blown away with the service and friendly atmosphere. I had the roast beef and boursine cheese sandwich and she had the seared tuna salad - I loved my sandwich and she said her salad was delicious. It seemed like a perfect neighborhood restaurant.
