Not True. Ridiculous.

According to http://www.didthanoskill.me/ I'm dead now.
S'ok, I agree with Thanos anyway.

Btw, not a fair fight between Thanos and the Hulk; Thanos had the power stone at that time and could beat anyone in a physical encounter.
Even I could beat the hulk if I had the power stone.

Trump seems to think these sorts of tweets make him appear to be a strong leader and not a reckless, narcissistic buffoon who doesn't care who he destroys.

These comments are more interesting than the article.

"...belches out stilted megaphone micro-missives for the sole purpose of perturbing perpetually on-edge marks." Yep. Pretty much.

Re: “So about that Comey book...

Im just tired of the Orwellian tactics in our global governments, which started with the white mans creation of ISRAEL and is now spreading to the entire world via our corruption from the spoils of WW2.

There is nothing real about any of these lines drawn in the sand. The garden of eden is earth, and Israel should be a garden of love and goodwill for our planet. Not the center of racial purity and social stratification- I would like to argue that in fact the Jews have NOT been restored to their homeland. They are even starting to make hasidic jews serve in the military (which is against their JEWISH religion)

The people of Israel act as a vassal state to our military in the region, how are they free now? How does Israel make them free? Israel is now a ball and chain to them that they need to get off of their necks before it sinks their whole culture, and changes it into something very ALIEN to its roots.

Re: “So about that Comey book...

These Sirens are just sounds used to scare people routinely. Works better than a stoplight to control the people. You have one terror attack, and then you forever randomly turn on sirens to scare the shit out of the population (so it supports more pointless wars). This is the same trick the government uses in Israel to keep the people in constant fear of these "missiles from Iran". This is why Iran is such a pertinent issue to the Israelis -air raid sirens used to scare them from their own government are a daily occurance!

It is like they freed the Jews just to send them to an open air prison with air sirens to terrorize them everyday! Ya that is what Hillel the elder and Moses wanted for their people. A bunch of terrorized little cowards that can only fight if they are 5 miles up dropping bombs (or they get their asses kicked on the ground). That is why the GOOD units of the IDF are ARAB.

After 9/11 we had the "stoplight of death" terror color coding system. In Charleston it seemed like it was nothing but a warning on TV, but in places like D.C. when the color code changed the highways would be shut down with ARMED SOLDIERS waving the people thru checkpoints. This made the "stoplight of death" seem real to people in D.C. so much to the point that after 9/11 huge amounts of people were fleeing to hide as far as WEST VIRGINIA - I know i was there and saw TONS of REFUGEES from D.C. pouring into west virginia for two months afterwards.

Re: “So about that Comey book...

Im 45. Grew up in Rock Hill. There were civil defense sirens (nuclear sirens, air raid sirens) all around the city. Their primary purpose was to alert the public if and when the nearby nuclear reaction crapped its pants, but there were indeed other purposes, the worst of which was incoming nuclear missiles. As a kid it was particularly terrifying when the sirens went off in the middle of the day and you were not aware there was a test that day. I can change the term to civil defense sirens in the text above, although I believe that "air raid sirens" is the term that best helps folks who didn't grow up there understand the nature of the sirens themselves.

Re: “So about that Comey book...

I can remember my Mother telling me about that stuff but never experienced it and never felt afraid until now and I am 63. Trump and the money focused powers that be seem hellbent on killing us all for no discernable reason. It is proper to be afraid when no one is representing your interests and if you try to, you might get arrested. I am afraid to live in the USA but do not have the means to leave and would hate to give up my life here. But fear my freedoms will soon all be gone and I will owe the government for breathing.

Re: “So about that Comey book...

J johnson - I remember sitting on a school bus in elementary school, and none of the buses was allowed to leave until a teacher had stepped onto every single bus and told us that our President had been assassinated in Dallas. I can remember during the Cuban missile crisis when the SAC B52 wing from Plattsburgh Air Firce Base was mobilized and in the evening light dozens and dozens of planes flew in formation over my yard on their way south. I remember the air raid drills. And in this instance I agree with Chris, and I commend him for clearer vision than a whole lot of people your age or mine.

Re: “So about that Comey book...

i cant imagine you were there in the 60s when an air raid drill was something we went through in elementary school several times a year ... i am pretty sure you weren't even old enough to have a memory of the collapse of the berlin wall .. your words ring hollow in most every column you manage to write ...

Re: “Content marketing is destroying journalism

"And yet I'm saddened that an entire generation doesn't care that the vast majority of editorial content they consume is not the work of journalists but of marketers and PR agents."

This is the problem. In the beginning the BBC was all tweed professors talking about posh, clever things. Then commercial TV lured everyone away with trash. Just because YOU think journalism is more valuable or important than something, doesn't mean anyone else will. Sadly.

I am a career journalist turned marketing writer. That's because journalism is a dying industry and there are fewer jobs to be had. If journalism was valuable, people would want to pay for it, but people would rather have something rubbish for free than something good for a cost.

If someone will do your job badly for less than you, that's a shame but that's the market. I'm in it too. I'd love to be a DJ and play records for a living but no one wants me to, at any price.

I know someone from the team who created the Daily Mail's website MailOnline: they made it all celeb trash gossip because no one was clicking on 'proper news' - as Alain De Boton explains in his brilliant and tragic book 'The News'.

To survive, real journalism/real media needs to create a business model that works.

It's sad, I know. But it's the real world. History has proven that, for better or worse, progress ALWAYS wins. Ride the wave or drown in it...

Re: “Content marketing is destroying journalism

Content marketing schemes are the soil and fertilizer of the blogs-as-news farms that pollute the internet. Every time you see some lame-assed, un-sourced or contrary-to-sources "article" shared on FB or Tweeted it is probably the fruits of just such a scheme. If you think that an effective, professional Fourth Estate is of no concern to you because you have your info-tainment channels and echo-chamber FB pages to feed you "news," then you're fooling yourselves. Don't believe me, though: Alex Jones envisioned this in a dream induced by chemtrails.

Re: “Content marketing is destroying journalism

Get off your high horse. There are tons of professional marketers putting out much higher quality content than your amateur-hour op-ed pieces.

When a brand that I follow puts out a great piece of content that's backed by facts and sources (unlike your op-ed columns), guess what? That's journalism. You're projecting your own bias and insecurities on professional content marketers. That's the exact opposite of journalistic integrity.

Re: “I don’t believe Stormy Daniels and you shouldn’t either

Navyvet, why are Michelle and Barack still keeping their college grades and anything about their college days under lock and key?? And yet the Dems worry about a porn star! This is the best they can offer??

Re: “I don’t believe Stormy Daniels and you shouldn’t either

"Get it through your thick head. The man won fair and square.:
"He's a Muslim"
"He was born in Indonesia"

Talk about pot calling kettle black.
And that guy actually did win fair and square, electoral and popular.

"That 3 million more votes that Hillary got came from NYC and the Los Angeles and SF area."
So those citizens votes should count less for some reason?
