Readers Pick

Not too long ago, we spotted one of Patch Whisky’s signature colorful monsters painted on the side of a rundown building in downtown Anderson, S.C. That’s when we realized how great this Charleston-based artist really is. The ability to have your art recognized out of context, in another city, is the sign of someone who has mastered his craft. Whisky’s distinctively vibrant and cheerful creations have set him apart from forgettable, mediocre art, and that’s why readers have, once again, deemed him Best Local Visual Artist.
