8th Annual Follypalooza Cancer Benefit

When: Sat., Oct. 24, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. 2015
Price: Free to attend

Folly fun

Folly Beach’s eight-year-old tradition of turning good times into great fundraisers is back with Follypalooza, a fest that raises money for Folly residents fighting cancer and other illnesses. Live music like Noelle Brown & The Troublemakers, The Outervention, and Champagne with Friends will set Center Street to song while guests peruse food vendors and activities like carnival games, jump castles, and a mechanical bull. “We have this group of Folly Beach locals called the Folly Angels that go out and find people in need,” says Ben Bounds, assistant director of Follypalooza. “It’s great when people come up to us on the street and thank us for helping them through their recovery.” Though this event is free for all ages, food vendors will be present and a wristband is required for the consumption of alcohol.
