Re: “Meet Mt. P's mayor and town council wannabes

And due to runaway over development, traffic congestion is clogging up our towns streets, more crime moving into broad daylight, the town is quickly being transformed from a nice place to retire to a place where you lock you windows and doors, make sure to get out of the way of rude drivers and shoppers in too much of a hurry to get to THEIR next destination. Quickly turning into a "hustle and bustle" area where you can no longer relax and enjoy your peace of mind. So very sad

Re: “The debate over the proposed Shem Creek parking garage is starting to get loud

Yes, the city limits have expanded over the years and it use to be just on the other side of Bowman Rd. If you want to live downtown, then move there. Our tourist come to this town for it's small town feel. And those thst want another truck load if antiques vacation downtown. That's why a lot if people chose MtP to vacation to because they don't want the hustle and bustle of downtown. They enjoy the more laid back pace we have hear. Don't worry, us NATIVES of MtP ARE being heard and we will be slowing the pace of growth in OUR hometown

And once all of these buildings are built and all the crime follows, all these people that wanted MtP to be a thriving downtown area will just pick up and move to another little town and destroy it too. Move back to your hometown and try to ruin it and see how much protest to get!!

Re: “The debate over the proposed Shem Creek parking garage is starting to get loud

I love it when people say we want MtP to be a busy thriving downtown area!! That's why we didn't buy homes in downtown Charleston. We don't want that life. That why most if us chose MtP because we don't want to live where everyone is in such a rush to get somewhere. The people of MtP have something to say, if you want the "hustle and bustle of a busy downtown, move to Chsrkeston and leave OUR quaint little town alone!!

Re: “Could the Ravenel Bridge have been winterized?

So this is a flawed design for a bridge. The old bridges had ice build up on spans but never presented this problem.
So now let's talk about the replacement of the Ravenel bridge since it's life span will be much shorter than it's predassessor. Looking at the different shades of sections of concrete poured on the bridge, shows varying strengths of concrete qualities that weren't monitored during the construction. When these poor qualities iof concrete start to compromise the integrity if the structure, what wil be the fix? Multiple section if the bridge show pour quality concrete, how will it be repaired? Will they just repair the weakened areas or will they just build another span? Thank you for your input
