Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is really great fun and one of the few cult films that can be enjoyed innocently by kids yet buffooned by adults who have a good sense of camp. But you forgot to mention that the movie is just part of a two-hour mini Xmas film festival at the Terrace that also includes retro clips, cartoons and an authentic bouncing-ball sing-a-long to "Jingle Bells". Two of the cartoons are restored Max Fleischer classics -- "Christmas Comes But Once a Year" from 1936 and "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" from 1948. Plus there are corny holiday shorts starring Howdy Doody, Shari Lewis and Lambchop, etc. I think seeing the pre-show on the big screen is worth the price of admission alone!
