    Something to Celebrate
      I'm trying really hard to write about gay marriage. The thing is, I can't stop thinking about the speech President Barack Obama just made about "fixing" our immigration system. I can't stop thinking about all of the LGBTQ undocumented immigrants whose names and safety were not implied in his speech.

    Thanks But No Thanks
      Don't get me wrong. I love weddings. I love big parties full of food, happy people, and hopefully, an open bar. I love it when the gays, the homos, the queers, the fags, the queens, the dykes, and the feisty bisexuals are all working it out on the same dance floor.

    Hope for 2013
      It's fortunate that MLK Day is in January, because it gives us a day, very early in the year, when we have the opportunity to reflect on our history here in Charleston and set our intentions for the year ahead. King's day of commemoration reminds us all that there was a man who fought to end institutional white supremacy in the U.S. and he was subsequently rewarded for his troubles with a bullet.
