Today at 11:50 p.m., following four consecutive temperature readings of 95 degrees, Charleston director of livability and tourism Dan Riccio ordered horses to return to their barns.

Carriage tours may resume later today if, according to Riccio, there are "two consecutive readings below 95." According to Charleston Weather's Twitter account, we think it's safe to say that all people and horses should stick to their stables today.
