HERMINE: Closings, cancelations, and what to watch for

Much of coastal S.C. under tornado watch until 4pm Friday

Aside from some localized flooding, downed trees, and some power outages across the Tri-county, most of Charleston is still bracing for the worst that Tropical Storm Hermine will bring to town later this afternoon.

Here's what to pay attention to across the Lowcountry today, check back for updates:

WATCHES/WARNINGS:

Follow the National Weather Service Charleston (@NWSCharlestonSC) and @chwx on Twitter for ongoing updates throughout the day.
CLOSINGS/CANCELATIONS:

Berkeley, Charleston, Dorchester 2, and Dorchester 4 schools CLOSED Friday.

Charleston Night Market POSTPONED until Saturday and Sunday.

Charleston Farmers Market downtown OPEN Saturday.

Fort Sumter National Monument (incl. Fort Moultrie) CLOSED Friday.

The Charleston Police Department has a live map being updated with street closures.

Several First Friday art openings have been POSTPONED to tomorrow night, Sat. Sept. 3. They include the receptions at Reinert Fine Art and Sculpture Garden, Reinert Contemporary Fine Art, Grand Bohemian Gallery, Corneau Goldsmithing Jewelry Gallery, and Tara Vis Gallery.
