A P&C report shows some pushback on behalf the MUSC board as university officials and lawmakers evaluate a proposal to merge MUSC with College of Charleston. A choice quote from MUSC board Chairman Tom Stephenson, who says there’s “little to no synergy” between the two schools, to the paper: “If the Legislature believes in its wisdom that these two institutions have to be merged, we will make the best of it.” [P&C]
