Brooklyn Rider performs the first of two concerts tonight at the Simons Center Recital Hall; this one looks at Debussy’s influence on contemporary composition. Classical music fans should also check out Mozart’s Coronation Mass, Brahms’ Schicksalslied, and Verdi’s Te Deum, performed by the Spoleto Festival Orchestra with help from the Westminster Choir and the Charleston Symphony Orchestra Chorus. Today is also your last day to see Erik Friedlander’s Block Ice and Propane at the Memminger.

In Piccolo land, Buckets and Tap Shoes opens at the Music Hall. This six-member Minneapolis-based company uses tap dancing, percussion, magic, and more for their show.

Another heads up: Tomorrow is your last chance to see Proserpina. And your first (and only) chance to see Bassekou Kouyate & Ngoni Ba.
