Philip Glass ‘Conversations With’ venue change

Posted by Patrick Sharbaugh on Fri, Jun 8, 2007 at 11:47 AM

Both of the two performances of Philip Glass’ Book of Longing in the 800-seat Sottile Theatre have been completely sold out to date. For a composer people seem to love to hate, that’s pretty impressive. I’ve just received word from Spoleto that his Conversations With appearance scheduled for today at 5pm has generated such a buzz that organizers have move the location from Recital Hall in the CofC Simons Center to the Sottile. It’s a free event, but you’ll need a ticket from the Spoleto box office at the Gaillard to get in, and I’m told by Spoleto organizers that no ticket is needed to get into this final installment in the Conversations With series.
