Alternative Rock? How About Alternative Politics? The Ron Paul Revolution continues...

In the 1990's, the rise of the alternative music underground, which eventually conquered the rock mainstream, was percieved as the triumph of heartfelt, principled artists against the corporate - and empty - status quo.

The ever-principled, Republican Ron Paul plans to stage a mini-protest against his own party in St. Paul, Minnesota. Let's hope the multiple forces behind the genuinely, conservative Texas Congressman surpass, upstage and eventually defeat the tired, statist - and at this point, counterproductive - mainstream Republican Party, which remains "conservative" in name only.
