There are a lot of ways to celebrate Halloween in the Holy City (head to our robust Fright Life calendar for more deets on that), but one event in particular has us all in a tizzy. Next week, Oct. 27-Nov. 2, the Terrace screens the original Halloween, newly restored and fully digital. And on Halloween — next Tues. Oct. 31, FYI — you can catch Halloween at 7:30 and 9 p.m., with the 9 p.m. showing followed by a screening with director, producer, and writer of the latest Halloween film, David Gordon Green.

In 1978, Halloween, starring Jamie Lee Curtis, hit the big screen, and audiences everywhere have been scared shitless since. Last month we reported that the latest Halloween is going to be filmed in Charleston, with Green at the helm. In honor of this fortuitous occurrence, the Terrace welcomes Green for a discussion on the original Halloween's cultural impact through his eyes.

And, just in time — in case you missed it, City Paper found Mike Myers' Charleston travel journal, and published the exclusive today.
