Calling all local filmmakers. The Charleston Film Festival has opened its submission period for the 2015 festival, and like years in the past, the fest will waive the submission fee for Charlestonians. The selected films will compete for the title of best local film, a cash prize, and a one-week-run at the Terrace Theatre (1956 Maybank Hwy.).

Submissions will be accepted through Feb. 1, 2015. Films must have been made in the last 18 months and cannot have screened at other festivals. They must also be at least two minutes long, but no longer than 200.

The sixth annual Charleston Film Fest will run March 12-15, 2015 at the Terrace Theatre. For more information, visit terracetheater.com or call (843) 762-4247.
