SC Gay Pride Looking For Logo, Theme

Posted by Greg Hambrick on Mon, Feb 11, 2008 at 5:15 PM

All right fellas, put the togas and the cowboy hats up. They aren't looking for that kind of theme. This is more like "Love Can Build A Bridge," "Love Is Alive," or any other single from The Judds.

The from The State, no less.

The S.C. Gay and Lesbian Pride Movement seeks theme and logo submissions for S.C. Pride 2008.

The competition encourages creativity in an effort to promote social justice, equality and personal pride through living openly and honestly.

Theme and logo submissions may be submitted together or separately.

Theme submissions should portray a positive message and be concise, catchy phrases that are inclusive of the entire gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.

Logo submissions should include rainbow flag colors (either the current six colors or the original eight colors, which include pink and indigo). Graphics should be at least 300 dpi, 4 or 5 inches in size and saved as jpg or pdf.

E-mail submissions to scpridecenter@aol.com. The deadline to enter is Feb. 23.

Submissions will be judged by the S.C. Pride Committee and a final decision will be approved by the Board of the S.C. Gay and Lesbian Pride Movement on March 1.

S.C. Pride 2008 will be held the weekend of Sept. 20 in Columbia. To learn more, visit www.scpride.org.

S.C. Gay and Lesbian Pride Movement is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocacy, education, support and celebration of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.
