Breaking: Gays Contribute To Holiday Cheer!

Posted by Greg Hambrick on Fri, Nov 23, 2007 at 1:33 PM

OK, absolutely no surprise. But it's never bad for the gay community to pat itself on the back.

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade got under way Thursday with a song especially created by gay performer Michael Feinstein.

The special number was the highliget of the 81st annual parade, as it made its way down Broadway, past theatres shuttered by a stagehands strike.

The children were trained by Camp Broadway, which offers summer programs for youngsters taught by theater professionals.

I already had "Camp," a sort-of gay movie about teens at a musical camp, stuck in my mind today for some reason. Here's a clip. Not safe for work or those opposed to a little well-placed foul language.
