The Summerville native is known for performing percussive acoustic guitar, and he just released his third studio album, "Wait." He will soon follow the album with a music video put out by Zeppelin Studios. Let's see what Joshua Jarman is getting into next in this week's Beat Juice.

What song is stuck in your head today?
"Overtime" by Knower

Last album you bought?
Cold, Dark Place EP by Mastodon

Recent musical discovery?
I recently discovered cymatics and how it correlates to melody.

Fave local venue?
I love to play anywhere outdoors, but places like Coastal Coffee Roasters offer a place to play with a warehouse gate to open!

What’s your best go-to t-shirt?
I've recently worn out the t-shirt for my cousin's band, Flipturn, out of Florida.

Your hangover cure is ...
Light drinking and water.

Last show you went to?
I saw Steve Vai play the guitar at the Charleston Music Hall earlier in 2018. This show blew my mind. Locally, I saw Adam & Elsewhere last week!

What station’s always on your radio dial?
105.5, 98.1, or AUX

Your musical style can be compared to?
I love to emulate artists like Michael Hedges, Jon Gomm, and Ben Howard, so maybe comparison begins there. I definitely draw from many influences.

What band have you been meaning to listen to?
Hold on. Let me check YouTube recommendations: Binkbeats. A solo looping artist who appears to be surrounded by percussion equipment?

What’s next for you? Shows, videos, song or album releases?

My latest album release, Wait, can be found on Spotify, iTunes, YouTube, Google Play, and various other online retailers. Wait, was made available October, 2018 and was recorded with John Baldwin in Ridgeville. I am pleased to finally let everyone hear it!

The album will soon be coupled with a music video release for a song called, "Middle," which was shot by local, Zeppelin Studios.

Coming shows include events like Shucking At The Cooper on December 8, and Home For The HoliDAZE on December 29. Information for these events can be found on Facebook!
