Local hip-hop artist Jaee Bryant is set to release brand new single “Dippin’” here on Fri. Dec. 22, the one-year anniversary of the release of his first EP, Stop Killin’ Us, an album full of thoughts on racism, poverty, and headline news.

Off his new, as-yet-untitled project, “Dippin’” speaks to Bryant’s perspective on life and success following both the release of debut mixtape Bloo earlier this year and a serious car accident from back in the fall. Bryant says he could have lost his life in the wreck, but he’s recovering well now and has another project in the works for 2018, which will further reflect on the artist's 2017.

Bloo was praised by music outlets like Mass Appeal, which premiered the project and called Bryant the hardest working man in Charleston.

Bryant says that Bloo, an album on the ups and downs of making music running a clothing brand, and keeping up with daily classes, also reached No. 8 in the Hip-Hop charts on iTunes.

The artist plans to tour in the Spring of 2018 and will make the move from Charleston to Brooklyn, New York next year, too. Oh, and he’s also got a podcast in the works, which will debut Jan. 10, 2018, just a few weeks following the Spotify release of “Droppin’.” Don't forget to check back for that release here. In the meantime, you can listen to Bloo below.
