Y'all didn't think Jump, Little Children was gonna forget about Charleston, did you? Oh ye of little faith. Fresh from a whirlwind mini tour in North Carolina and Columbia with Stop Light Observations and She Returns From War, the band announced today a two-night stand with the (drum roll) Charleston Symphony Orchestra (CSO). It's all happening at the Charleston Music Hall on Dec. 30 and 31. See? These guys are thoughtful.

Jump decided to forego their old holiday season tradition of performing at the Dock Street Theatre in hopes of opening up about 400 extra seats each night at the Hall. That's ample opportunity for both Jump diehards and CSO fans to get in on the orchestral nostalgia. If you'll recall, their last appearances at Dock Street sold out in less than a minute, leaving some fans out in the cold. Not this year.

Night one's performance is An Evening with Jump, Little Children (i.e. no opener), with an early start at 8 p.m., while the New Year's Eve performance goes a little later, kicking off at 9 p.m. with local singer-songwriter Katie Rose who has toured with the crew in the past. Jump and CSO take over to eventually ring in 2018 together, with that show expected to end just moments after midnight.

This time, fans new and old can behold the band in their natural habitat, coupling frontman Jay Clifford's arrangements with their hometown symphony, plus you can expect to hear Jump debut at least one new song from their first studio release in 12 years. The new album is expected to drop sometime next year.

Tickets for the December shows are $40-$50 (dinner-and-a-show option is an additional $32) and go on sale to the public this Fri. Nov. 3 at 10 a.m. A limited number of VIP tickets will be available via jumplittlechildren.com.

Y'all (and I) can freak out now.
