Radical Sundance single benefits local rescue
Local band Radical Sundance recently recorded new album, Lava, and the first single off the collection is “Allyson,” a track that was commissioned from a loved one. “An old friend of mine reached out to me,” Gallagher says. “She is struggling with MS, and she has always been very passionate about animal rescue. She asked me to write a song dedicated to the cause.” The band has decided to donate a portion of the sales from “Allyson” to Charleston’s Eunoia Rescue. Find the single on iTunes, Spotify, and at radicalsundance.com.

Ryan Skid drops new EP
Local hip-hop artist Ryan Skid released a new EP last week entitled Middle of Nowhere, which he says chronicles his internal struggle with deciding to leave his native West Virginia for the Lowcountry over two years ago. He says, “I think the project sums up the situation for many youth in Appalachia and is relevant for the mass numbers of young people leaving that area and flocking to places like Charleston, explaining the environments many of us have left and some things in our pasts that are hard to let go.” Listen to the EP now at soundcloud.com/ryanskid.
