Charleston music fans are apparently all about that Kodak Black, according to a new article from the New York Times.

Since YouTube has risen to prominence among music lovers as a free jukebox that allows listeners to access any song they desire almost instantly — plus or minus the time it takes to skip past the commercials — the good people at the Times took it upon themselves to examine which popular artists are streamed the most in specific portions of the country.  Utilizing geocoded streaming data from YouTube, the Times mapped relative popularity of this spring’s top-50 Billboard Top 100 artists to find which musicians were more likely to be played in specific cities. A quick search of Charleston’s favorite artists includes plenty of Kodak Black, Migos, and Future, with some Beyonce thrown in for good measure.
