Local reggae band the Dubplates are charting pretty darn well this week on iTunes' U.S. top reggae albums. A big part of the local scene since 2009, the 12-piece outfit debuted at No. 4 with Box Full of Steel, their new release that blends traditional reggae "riddims" alongside dancehall vibes and afro-funk beats.

Ever active on the local circuit, the Dubplates are set to perform at Loggerheads on Folly Beach on Sat. July and Sat. July 29 as well as at the Fall Reggae Jam at the Music Farm on Sat. Sept. 9.
