Pop star Pharrell Williams is set to perform with the Emanuel AME gospel choir this Sunday as part of a special program called Shining a Light: Conversations on Race in America, according to News 2. The "Happy" singer will reportedly practice with the choir on Saturday and attend the worship service on Sunday.

Inspired by the tragic events in Charleston, the A+E Network and iHeartMedia will air Shining a Light: Conversations on Race in America on Fri. Nov. 20 at 8 p.m.

During the program, national artists, including Williams and John Legend, will conduct solution-centered conversations with varying perspectives from family members of victims, community leaders, law enforcement officials, and clergy from Charleston, Baltimore, Chicago, and Ferguson.

The goal of the presentation is to empower communities like Charleston by fostering understanding, eliminating bias, and addressing inequalities that break along the racial lines.

The two-hour program will also feature performances from some of the biggest names in music, including Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Zac Brown Band, Jamie Foxx, and more.
