All delighted Charlestonians, raise your hands! Sufjan Stevens will play a concert at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center on Mon. Nov. 9. Presale tickets go on sale Wed. July 22 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster. Tickets will go on sale via the PAC on Fri. July 24 at 10 a.m.

Stevens, whose esoteric musical output has at times leaned heavily on electronic elements and maximalist production values, pared back his sound dramatically for this year's Carrie & Lowell, a hushed, heartbreaking album that partly tells the story of Stevens' stepfather and troubled mother while incorporating scenes from childhood visits to Oregon.

On previous tours, Stevens has brought along go-go dancers, donned costume wings, incorporated video projections, and performed bizarre interpretive dances in a day-glo space suit. There's no telling what he'll break out on the current tour, but recent live footage suggests he might be simplifying his stage setup a bit.
