Falling for Psychomagic happened so suddenly

Falling for Psychomagic happened so suddenly. When a friend sent us a Bandcamp link to the Portland band's dreamy mix of doo-wop, psych-punk sounds, we clicked with no expectations. And then we found ourselves quite suddenly reeling from how fucking perfect it is for our ears. Really, it was love at first track.

Psychomagic sounds like what might happen if The Doors showed up to a 1950s hop with T-Rex as their date. Whether you like your music with lollipops or a lava lamp, the music of Psychomagic will send a smile to your face and shivers straight to your sweet spots. Our favorite track so far? "Mutated Love." Listen to their self-titled album below, or see 'em live with Santoros on Tuesday at Recovery Room, 685 King Street.
