Entertainment Weekly raves about Rucker's 'Wagon Wheel' rendition

"...Turning it into a rich, twangy romper"

Nearly 20 years after Hootie and the Blowfish's Cracked Rear View topped the charts and went on to sell over 16 million copies, Darius Rucker is still living the charmed life. He's now a bona fide country music star and a doggone member of the Grand Ole Opry. Yeehaw. And the future continues to look bright for the one-time Hootie frontman. He's got a new album on the way in the spring, True Believers, and his most recent single, a cover of Old Crow Medicine Show's "Wagon Wheel," is earning raves, in particular from Entertainment Weekly, which put the song on its weekly Must Have List. The mag said Rucker "has flipped Old Crow Medicine Show's creaky bluegrass anthem on its head, turning it into a rich, twangy romper with a decidedly sunny vibe." Congrats, Darius.
