The live music series Rockin’ on the Point, previously called Party at the Point, has yet another new name: Fridays on the Point.
The weekly outdoor concerts kick off on Fri. April 1 at the Charleston Harbor Resort in Mt. Pleasant with two sets from the award-winning, long-running local party band PlaneJane. Music starts around 6 p.m. in the Sunset Deck area. The series continues through late July.
Organizer Rob Lamble (of Ear for Music) and his colleagues added new amenities to the venue to provide a more patron-friendly environment. They celebrated their 10th anniversary season last summer.
The spring and summer lineup reflects a ton of alternative and classic rock, funk, reggae, and beach styles. Upcoming shows feature sets from Long Miles, Ben Fagan and the Holy City Hooligans, Crowfield, Dub Island and the Dubplates, the Movement, and the Legendary JC’s, among others.
